Meet the team.
We don’t just work for you, we work with you.
Together, we’ll guide you.
We offer our clients the peace of mind that they’ll be looked after by highly qualified and experienced advisers, with uncompromising ethics.
Director/Chartered Financial Planner
I have worked within Financial Services since 1986 and have had the pleasure of providing financial advice and guidance to a huge range of clients. These have included business owners and professional sports people among many others, as well as large national companies and multi-industry businesses.
The finest years of my career have come since merging my previous business (PWM Wealth Management) with my long term friend and now partner, Jonathan Seddon, to create Illingworth Seddon. We have created a company that is an absolute joy to be a part of, with the care of our clients at the very centre of what we do, and I couldn’t be more proud of it.
I am also a Chartered Financial Planner, a qualification which I take great pride in as I am always looking to ensure I have the highest level of knowledge possible when dealing with my clients.
As well as spending time with my family away from the office, I enjoy a variety of sporting activities including squash and more recently cycling.
Director/Chartered Financial Planner
I have been working in Financial Services since 1999, having joined the Bank of Scotland after studying Mathematics at Cardiff University. I then worked in Japan for two years, advising ex-pats working in Tokyo on all manner of offshore Financial Planning.
Having enjoyed a successful career working within the Private Banking sector, I set up my own company in 2012 (Seddon Wealth Management) before partnering up with my long term friend Phil Illingworth to create Illingworth Seddon, and since then we have never looked back.
I am a qualified Chartered Financial Planner and whilst I enjoy the technical side of my work, I take the greatest pleasure in delivering a personal, client-focused service that can really make a difference to people’s lives.
I have four children and enjoy a busy life away from work, spending time with my family and, when time permits I do enjoy a game of golf or squash.
Chartered Financial Planner
I thoroughly enjoy being part of adviser team at Illingworth Seddon having joined in 2014. I hold the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute and I’m currently studying towards becoming a Chartered Financial Planner.
Prior to becoming a Financial Consultant, I obtained a first class degree in Financial Services, Planning and Management and have previously spent time working for St. James’s Place, both at their Cirencester Head Office and within the Investment Management team in Hong Kong.
Outside of work I am a keen Skier, Cyclist and aspiring Golfer, enjoying some heated battles with other members of the Illingworth Seddon team! I also enjoy watching Rugby, having now hung up my boots.
I have over 44 years of experience in the Financial Services industry and enjoy currently being part of the Illingworth Seddon Adviser Team.
I take great pride in building long-term relationships with clients, ensuring they receive the financial advice and guidance they need. I have established trusted relationships with clients, which I attribute to investing time in understanding exactly what really matters to them. My Diploma in Financial Planning and experience in relationship management give me the expertise to help clients manage, grow and pass on their wealth.
I am a fluent Welsh speaker as well as English and enjoy choral singing, often competing at a national level. I have also been a school governor for over 20 years.
I joined Illingworth Seddon in October 2020 working in various roles while completing my Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Having graduated in 2022, I now form part of the Adviser team and continue my development towards Chartered status.
I take great pride in helping clients achieve their goals and objectives, and enjoy building long term relationships to ensure they receive the financial advice and guidance they need.
Outside of work I enjoy taking my dog out on long walks and I’m a season ticket holder of a certain premiership football team. I also enjoy a round of golf at the weekend when possible, with friends.
I graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2018 with a degree in Economics and have been working in Financial Services since 2019.
I Joined Illingworth Seddon’s Graduate Scheme in October 2021, and have since worked my way through all the roles at the company, which has given me great exposure to the expertise found within the different teams. I am currently working towards the status of Chartered Financial Planner, which will further add to the value I give to clients.
I believe in building relationships based on trust, transparency, and a deep understanding of my clients’ circumstances and financial objectives. I enjoy working closely with each client to assess their current financial landscape and develop a roadmap for success.
Away from work I enjoy leading an active lifestyle. I am a keen sportsman, playing both Rugby and Football when time permits. I spend much of my weekends competing against friends in golf, which more often than not finishes on the 19th hole.
I joined Illingworth Seddon in January 2017 and spent the first period of my time at the company managing the marketing and client communication strategies.
Having been involved in most areas of the business in my first 6 years, I decided (with the support of my colleagues) to begin my journey to becoming a financial adviser in late 2022.
I qualified half way through 2023, and subsequently joined the adviser team to begin building a client bank while servicing those who I already have a strong relationship with via my role in client communications.
I look forward to taking the business forward and providing the same high standards that we have always required, and further developing my skills as I gain experience.
On a personal note, I have a wife and two dogs who keep me extremely busy when I’m at home in our cottage in North Wales. I also play football semi-professionally of a weekend and thoroughly enjoy a round of golf.
I joined Illingworth Seddon on 1st February 2017 and my responsibilities include the oversight of office function and organisation.
I have worked in Financial Services for roughly 30 years having held positions as a Wealth Adviser with Lloyds Banking Group for 21 years, followed by 4 years as a Development and Conduct Manager responsible for supervising an Adviser Team.
More recently I worked as Head of Training and Competence with Brown Shipley & Co. I hold a Diploma in Financial Planning, I’m passionate about teamwork, and pride myself on attention to detail and my commitment to work.
In my spare time, I’m a keen cyclist and have even managed to drag my colleagues Jacob and Phil into it more recently, while also enjoying spending time with my wife and four children.
Head of Paraplanning
I have been working in Financial Services for over 20 years in similar Practice Management roles, including the past 15 years with other Practices within the St. James’s Place Partnership. I have completed the St. James’s Place Paraplanner Accreditation Programme and hold the full Financial Planning Certificate and Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice. I’m currently working towards the Diploma in Financial Planning.
Outside of the office, I love spending time with my young family, going to the gym, and taking my dog for long walks on the beach.
I have been working in Financial Services since joining the company in 2007. I am part of our Support Team that provides additional organizational and administrative support to the Advisers and Paraplanning Team.
I am a local representative of two charities and in my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and two children.
Client Account Manager
I joined the company in January 2010 having been in Financial Services since 1999. I am part of an amazing Support Team that provides research, administrative support to the Advisers and Paraplanning Team, as well as liaising with and assisting clients on a day to day basis. I hold my CF1, CF2, R04 and R05 qualifications and I’m currently studying towards the Diploma in Financial Planning when I can find some spare time in my demanding social and family life.
I enjoy weekends away in the caravan with my young son and husband. I am a bit of an adrenaline junky when it comes to cross country, horse riding, white water rafting and the great outdoors – I just love to push myself now I am getting a little older.
Client Account Manager
I have 22 years of industry experience working at HBOS. Since leaving there in 2002 I continued to develop my financial background in other roles including Accounts Manager for a family-owned business and Money Advice Caseworker both with the Citizens Advice Bureau and then with Age UK.
Since then I have been working closely with Rachael at the Cumbria office, with my main role to support her with all administrative processes. I enjoy liaising with clients on a day to day basis and aim to provide an excellent level of service and care at all times.
I have also successfully completed the St. James’s Place Partnership Support Staff Accreditation Programme.
I thoroughly enjoy hosting family and friends evenings on a weekly basis and like gardening, sewing, upholstery, DIY and all kinds of social events.
Client Account Manager
I have been in Financial Services since 1987, starting at NatWest Bank before moving to their Private Banking Division and then Coutts in 2013.
I joined Illingworth Seddon in May 2016 as a Client Account Manager. I am part of the Support Team that provides research and administrative support to the Financial Advisers and Paraplanners however the best part of my job is liaising and assisting our clients on a day to day basis.

When I have some spare time in between work and Brownies I love to spend time with my family whilst planning our next holiday and adding places to our ever-growing ‘bucket’ list.
Client Account Manager

I am married and as well as my son I have a daughter who has just started High School, as a family we enjoy exploring the outdoors, participating in various activities from Go Ape and Forrest Coaster to the more relaxed bowling and movie nights. I also enjoy catching up with my wider family, friends and colleagues over a meal or a simple drink.
I have been working in Financial Services since 1977, working previously for the Royal Bank of Scotland as a Mortgage Adviser before joining St. James’s Place in 2006.
I have worked in a previous St. James’s Place Practice where my role involved mainly liaising with clients and supporting the Advisers in a Paraplanning role, which has continued since joining Illingworth Seddon. I also have my Cemap qualification.
In my spare time, I am very involved in horses, supporting my daughter who regularly competes, and I also enjoy gardening and going to live concerts. I also like spending time with my young grandchildren and walking our new puppy, Frankie.

I am now working towards my Chartered Financial Planner Qualification, whilst also holding the Gold Accreditation Level through St. James’s Place.
Previously I have gained formative experience working in London, Bath and Bristol, but like many others, Cumbria & The Lake District will always have my heart.
I joined the Financial Services Industry because it is somewhere I am able to help people and make a positive impact on their lives, especially during times of difficulty, whether they need guidance, reassurance, or assistance with an issue. This is something that is very important to me.
When not in the office, I love getting out and seeing The Lakes, planning holidays, seeing as much live music as possible, and spending time with friends and family.
Trainee Client Account Manager
I joined Illingworth Seddon in November 2021, shortly after graduating from studying Jurisprudence at the University of Oxford. I am based at the Ulverston office.
I spent my first six months working as a Trainee Client Account Manager, but have since also begun training as a Paraplanner, with my role now being a hybrid between the two.
