Phil Illingworth

Director/Chartered Financial Planner

I have worked within Financial Services since 1986 and have had the pleasure of providing financial advice and guidance to a huge range of clients. These have included business owners and professional sports people among many others, as well as large national companies and multi-industry businesses.

The finest years of my career have come since merging my previous business (PWM Wealth Management) with my long term friend and now partner, Jonathan Seddon, to create Illingworth Seddon. We have created a company that is an absolute joy to be a part of, with the care of our clients at the very centre of what we do, and I couldn’t be more proud of it.

I am also a Chartered Financial Planner, a qualification which I take great pride in as I am always looking to ensure I have the highest level of knowledge possible when dealing with my clients.

As well as spending time with my family away from the office, I enjoy a variety of sporting activities including squash and more recently cycling.

Jonathan Seddon

Director/Chartered Financial Planner

I have been working in Financial Services since 1999, having joined the Bank of Scotland after studying Mathematics at Cardiff University. I then worked in Japan for two years, advising ex-pats working in Tokyo on all manner of offshore Financial Planning.

Having enjoyed a successful career working within the Private Banking sector, I set up my own company in 2012 (Seddon Wealth Management) before partnering up with my long term friend Phil Illingworth to create Illingworth Seddon, and since then we have never looked back.

I am a qualified Chartered Financial Planner and whilst I enjoy the technical side of my work, I take the greatest pleasure in delivering a personal, client-focused service that can really make a difference to people’s lives.

I have four children and enjoy a busy life away from work, spending time with my family and, when time permits I do enjoy a game of golf or squash.

Jacob Treasure

Chartered Financial Planner

I thoroughly enjoy being part of adviser team at Illingworth Seddon having joined in 2014. I am a Chartered Financial Planner, a qualification which I take great pride in as it means I provide my clients with the gold standard in financial planning.

Prior to becoming a Financial Consultant, I obtained a first class degree in Financial Services, Planning and Management and have previously spent time working for St. James’s Place, both at their Cirencester Head Office and within the Investment Management team in Hong Kong.

Outside of work I am a keen Skier, Cyclist and aspiring Golfer, enjoying some heated battles with other members of the Illingworth Seddon team! I also enjoy watching Rugby, having now hung up my boots.

Peter Jones

Financial Consultant

I have over 44 years of experience in the Financial Services industry and enjoy currently being part of the Illingworth Seddon Adviser Team.

I take great pride in building long-term relationships with clients, ensuring they receive the financial advice and guidance they need. I have established trusted relationships with clients, which I attribute to investing time in understanding exactly what really matters to them. My Diploma in Financial Planning and experience in relationship management give me the expertise to help clients manage, grow and pass on their wealth.

I am a fluent Welsh speaker as well as English and enjoy choral singing, often competing at a national level. I have also been a school governor for over 20 years.

Jack Bunkell

Financial Consultant

I joined Illingworth Seddon in October 2020 working in various roles while completing my Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Having graduated in 2022, I now form part of the Adviser team and continue my development towards Chartered status.

I take great pride in helping clients achieve their goals and objectives, and enjoy building long term relationships to ensure they receive the financial advice and guidance they need.

Outside of work I enjoy taking my dog out on long walks and I’m a season ticket holder of a certain premiership football team. I also enjoy a round of golf at the weekend when possible, with friends.

Ed Godwin

Financial Consultant

I graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2018 with a degree in Economics and have been working in Financial Services since 2019.

I Joined Illingworth Seddon’s Graduate Scheme in October 2021, and have since worked my way through all the roles at the company, which has given me great exposure to the expertise found within the different teams. I am now part of the adviser team and I am currently working towards the status of Chartered Financial Planner, which will further add to the value I give to clients.

I believe in building relationships based on trust, transparency, and a deep understanding of my clients’ circumstances and financial objectives. I enjoy working closely with each client to assess their current financial landscape and develop a roadmap for success.

Away from work I enjoy leading an active lifestyle. I am a keen sportsman, playing both Rugby and Football when time permits. I spend much of my weekends competing against friends in golf, which more often than not finishes on the 19th hole.

Louie Middlehurst

Financial Consultant

I joined Illingworth Seddon in January 2017 and spent the first period of my time at the company managing the marketing and client communication strategies.

Having been involved in most areas of the business in my first 6 years, I decided (with the support of my colleagues) to begin my journey to becoming a financial adviser in late 2022.

I qualified half way through 2023, and subsequently joined the adviser team to begin building a client bank while servicing those who I already have a strong relationship with via my role in client communications.

I look forward to taking the business forward and providing the same high standards that we have always required, and further developing my skills as I gain experience.

On a personal note, I have a wife and two dogs who keep me extremely busy when I’m at home in our cottage in North Wales. I also play football semi-professionally of a weekend and thoroughly enjoy a round of golf.
